Of course, the world famous canals are a can’t miss attraction and a ride in one of the gondolas is a natural, but there is so much more to Venice than what you see in postcards. Few cities have the sheer number of museums and art galleries as Venice, with each one providing a different point of view on the every changing world. There is also an incredible amount of shopping to be done here, from the traditional plaza to more Western style malls and shopping centers. The chances of anyone being bored in this city is almost non existent.

Still not sold? Since Venice is located in the northern part of Italy, driving to neighboring countries is much like driving to other states if you are an American. There are trains and buses that leave daily from Venice to all over Europe, and there is always driving.
